Description
In 2021, Conejo Recreation and Park District, worked cooperatively with the Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency and the City of Thousand Oaks to acquire the equestrian center. In the same year, CRPD entered into a 40-year agreement with Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship to manage, maintain, and operate the facility for public use. Ride On is a not-for-profit corporation open to the public and teaches horseback riding to children and adults with physical and mental disabilities. CRPD has partnered with Ride On at Walnut Grove Equestrian Center since 2000.
