North Ranch Neighborhood Park

DETAILS

1901 Upper Ranch Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362

Description

The property for the rolling 12-acre North Ranch Neighborhood park at the southwest corner of Kanan and Upper Ranch Roads was acquired by the District in 1987 and became an improved neighborhood park in 1990.  The large park lies adjacent to a creek, boasts expansive turf areas, and includes several native sycamore and oak trees.  In 2016, the park became the first in the district to be converted to reclaimed water for irrigation. In November 2018, the park suffered heavily from the Woolsey Fire. Repairs involved the replacement of plants, trees, irrigation equipment, benches, and ground cover. A new permeable asphalt walking path was also added around the perimeter and through the center of the park.
